Nautical Bench From Pallets and Reclaimed Fence Boards

A few weeks back I  had the urge to build something! It's been awhile since I've actually started on something from scratch so I gather up a few pallets and old fence pieces.

This is what my finished project looks like:

I didn't take any pictures in the process just simply forgot, but the basic build consisted of 2 pallets and a few fence boards. The top piece is a pallet cut in half then I added a piece of the fence board to fill in the open space.

The back piece is the complete top piece of another pallet.

The legs were made from scrap wood and then I trimmed it out with additional fence pieces. I did a simple blue and cream colored paint theme and distressed.

A simple shelf was added to the bottom also.

I intended for this to be a potting bench, which it still can be used as. But I think it would be fun as a patio bar also.

I decorated it with a few nautical items all from past finds at the thrift store.

Now I'm really looking forward to summer and having a few cocktails around the bar.

Thanks for stopping by,
