Coastal Colored Curbside Chair

What do you do when you find only one boring brown chair curbside?? You paint it a few bright colors to bring it back to life.I forgot to take a picture before but just imagine this chair brown. You can see it where I rubbed off some paint on the leg.

The only thing wrong with the chair was that some of the wicker was pulled up from one side.
I was all there so I just re- glued it all down and let it dry overnight.
The seat did need to be brightened up as well so I painted it bright pink.

This chair was perfect for distressing. So I hand sanded all the wood with 100 grit sandpaper.
The seat was also sanded to remove most of the pink, this I did with my sander also with 100 grit paper.

This chair is perfect for a porch, guestroom or a corner in the house.

Even though the calender says its fall and almost winter living in Florida it's always on Beach Time.

Maybe that's why I chose the colors I did.

The best part of this makeover it was completely FREE!!

The chair was found curbside and the paint I used was from Ace Hardware free paint day awhile back.

Have a wonderful week.
