Pallet Chalk And Message Board

What a great holiday weekend it has been. I even had a surprise guest this week, my son Nathan and grand-daughter Addison came down for a visit. They live in Indiana so we don't get to see them that much. It was a wonderful family weekend with all the kids together.

I did manage to finish one project this week. Actually I just re-worked a previous uncompleted one into something new.

A little chalkboard paint and a little chicken wire, a few boards added to a pallet for shelving and you have one great message/ storage/ art station.

The front 2 boards are painted with chalkboard paint.

To make the shelves I added boards to the top and bottom.

Th metal strip and washers create a hanger. The chicken wire was stapled all the way around to make a message board in the center open area.

I then just added a metal can and clothes pins spray- painted red for chalk and messages.
The pins are also good for clipping crayons, markers and completed pictures.

The edges of the pallet were previously burned with a torch. I just left them the way they were, I liked the rustic look it gave it.

There's even room for a special friend to sit on a shelf.

Another great use of a pallet I think.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your week!!
