This little stool found it's way to our house quite awhile ago. I started to re-furbish it but only got as far as sanding it down. It was originally finished with a dull brown paint.
Somehow this was as far as it got, then it was buried in with a lot of other works in progress.
When I re-found it last week, added a little paint and stain, a new shabby little stool was born.
I first stained the whole stool with Minwax Provincial.
Then I sanded lightly to have some bare spots again.
The top was painted with an off-white leftover paint.
And the bottom and legs were painted with my
never ending green paint supply.
One more sanding and another coat of stain that I applied and then wiped off almost immediately
gives this little stool it's final shabby look.
It's a little stool 24 x 20 x 8, but big on style.
View of the top.
And the sides before and after.
I did give the stool a top coat of poly semi-gloss
just to give it a little protection.
Not to shabby, don't you think??
OK maybe just a little.
Enjoy your week!!
Thanks for stopping by,
