Tiki Bar and Grill

With the ever changing weather in Florida ( It was only in the 50's on Sunday, but it will reach 80 degrees today), I thought it was appropriate to have a little TIKI BAR TIME!

I started making these pallet serving trays last year with a Thanksgiving and Christmas theme. You can find them here and here.

But now that the weather is turning into Spring and soon it will be Summer I decided to make a few with a tropical fun theme.

And we needed something to use with our Chili's bar table.

Metal Monday # 7 A Little Rust

It was a short weekend for Mike since he had to work his "Real Job" on Saturday. The weather got cold for Florida over the weekend too, so needless to say finished projects just didn't happen.

We did get out on Sunday to Mount Dora and the Antique Extravaganza. This was the last one until November. It was a little cold in the morning but the sun was shining and it turned out to be a beautiful day.

Unfortunately I forgot the camera but Mike did make a few purchases- Metal of course.

Pallet Potting Table- My First Build !

Are you ready for Spring??

Is it still cold where you live or are you in a warm weather climate like me??

I finally completed my first build from pallets and scrap wood, mostly 2 x 4's. I love the way it turned out and since I did all the construction myself it makes it much more special.

** WARNING**  I took a lot of pictures of this project. I'm also working on improving my photography skills with my little ole point and shoot so this post has a lot of pictures. ENJOY!

Metal Monday # 6 Ready For Spring

We hope everyone had a fabulous weekend and for those of you in the northeast may you all be safe and warm.

We have been fortunate here in Florida to be experiencing Spring like weather the last few days and are already seeing ladybugs and butterflies in our yard!

They are metal of course, but do add some color to our ugly wooden/green fence.

Cabinet Door Chalkboard

What do you do when you find just one cabinet door with no hardware attached??

You make a chalkboard of course!

This was really a simple project to complete. The door had a natural frame already so I just painted the inside with chalkboard paint.

Metal Monday # 5 - A Look Back & Man Cave Chair

It's been an odd week for us. Mike worked his late work week this past week and I have been fighting a cold the past few days. Needless to say we have put studio time on the back burner.

He has been re-building an open trailer this weekend. Not to exciting to write about.

But I did find a "cure" for my cold- In the form of a Bloody Mary! Or two...
