Bon Jour - Thanksgiving Week in France

My week in France is almost over- It went by way to fast, but it has been DELICIOUS...  I just wanted to share some of the wonderful food that I have enjoyed this week- some we made and some were at restaurants and some were Take Away...

Melissa made us some yummy appetizers of cheeses, bread and fruit. Of course we also had some wine. The black olives are very salty, and have pits in them. I brought my pilgrim salt and pepper shakers from home to celebrate the week.

We traveled to Florence, Italy on Tuesday and this was my lunch. It was the best pasta that I have ever eaten. The mushrooms and tomatoes were so fresh and the pasta was perfect.

Melissa and Erin each had a calzone. Look at the size of it!!! It was very good but different then the U.S. version because they don't give you sauce on the side. They were filled with ham and cheese.

On Wednesday we all had lunch in Antibes. These are the spring rolls that we had as an appetizer. Needless to say the presentation was beautiful. It was a bright sunny day and we were fortunate enough to be able to eat outside on the patio.

I ordered a salad for thinking it would be good to have a light lunch- but look at it!! It was so delicious.

Erin ordered a salad to. Hers had tuna on top and was just as beautiful. Melissa ordered chicken curry.  Hers was just as yummy.

And who can have a lunch without dessert. I purchased these " TAKE AWAY"- they say that instead of " TO GO"  in Antibes - plus they wrap it so lovely. One was an eclair, the other a chocolate, rasberry cake which melted in your mouth. The other was a cupcake from a cute shop names Choppy's.

The brown wrapping I saved to take home. Hopefully I can transfer this onto a tray to have it as a reminder.

And last but not least who can enjoy all this food without the wine. These wine racks were empty when we got here and this is a photo from Tuesday night, 3 days into our week vacation. We are off to a good start, and yes I am saving all the corks to bring home.
